Warrensburg, Mo. (July 21, 2025) – The second Imperial Junior Classic teed off today at Mules National Golf Club in Warrensburg. After weather canceled the first day of play, the event was shortened to a one-day, 18-hole stroke play. Seventy-seven junior golfers from across Missouri took to the course today, showcasing their skills in a competitive field.

The girls’ division saw a three-way tie for first between DeLaney Daniels (Bolivar, Class of 2026), Hannah Mottert (Wentzville, Class of 2025) and Isa Flores (O’Fallon, Class of 2027). All three competitors fired a 7-over 77 during their rounds.

Daniels began with a rough start, going 3-over through four holes, before ending the front nine with five straight pars. She started the back nine with a birdie, then continued strong heading into hole eighteen at 4-over. Daniels struggled on the eighteenth hole, finishing the round 7-over 77.

After the front nine, Mottert led the division at 1-under 34 highlighted by three birdies. A challenging last nine holes led Mottert to 8-over on the back nine and tying her for first. Flores faced difficulties out of the gate with a double bogey on hole one, followed by a par on hole two and three straight bogeys on holes three, four, and five. Flores finished the front nine 5-over 40, but didn’t let it get in her head. Flores finished the day with four pars to end 7-over.

The three golfers took to hole eighteen for the playoff. Daniels claimed first place after firing a par on the par three over the water, while Mottert and Flores both recorded a five. Mottert and Flores then entered a scorecard playoff to determine second place. Mottert took home the second place medal, while Flores placed third.

Brady Powers (Springfield, Class of 2026) topped the leaderboard for the boys’ division shooting a 1-under 69. Powers carded six birdies to post the lowest score of the day.

Powers led the field early with an even-par on the front nine, with Hagen Ritter (Macon, Class of 2026) following closely behind at 1-over 36. Powers started the back nine with two bogies and two birdies while Ritter had three pars and a birdie to tie the two going into hole fourteen. Both players then went par, bogey, par before Powers clinched the lead with a birdie on hole seventeen. Powers ended his round with a 30-foot putt for birdie on hole eighteen.

Isaiah Parton (Buckner, Class of 2027) claimed second place with a 2-over 72. Parton battled an up and down front nine with four bogeys and two birdies, before turning it around for an even-par 35 on the back.

The boys’ division saw a four-way tie for third between Titus Johnson (Kansas City, Class of 2025), Logan Hoffman (Jefferson City, Class of 2026), Hagen Ritter (Macon, Class of 2026) and Ethan Mottert (Wentzville Class of 2027). All four golfers fired a 3-over 73 during their 18-hole round. Ritter took home the third place medal after winning a score card playoff on hole eight.
