MGA Operations Intern
USGA Boatwright Operations Internship
Duration: Four months (May-August, flexible based on school schedule)
Location: Jefferson City, Missouri
Responsibilities:
- Assist with all aspects of conducting a competition including registration, starting, scoring, course setup, monitoring pace of play, and communicating with tournament staff
- Assist with course marking, determining hole locations, and taking hole-by-hole notes
- Manage tournament database and learn Golf Genius software
- Track player of the year points and assist with volunteer coordination
- Respond to emails and phone calls about general tournament or qualifier-related inquiries
Requirements:
- College degree (completed or in progress) and a valid driver’s license
- Strong interest in golf, willingness to travel, and solid organizational skills
- Physical ability to lift 40 pounds, stand and work outdoors for long periods

MGA Communications Intern
USGA Boatwright Communications Internship
Duration: Four months (May-August, flexible based on school schedule)
Location: Jefferson City, Missouri
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the MGA Director of Communications on event and program awareness
- Capture on-site tournament phots and video at MGA events
- Write web content, news stories, and event recaps
- Provide video and social media coverage (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn)
- Create simple graphics for social media posts
- Build short email updates and announcements as needed
Requirements:
- College degree (completed or in progress) and a valid driver’s license
- Strong interest in golf, excellent writing skills, and proficiency in Canva, social media, and/or Adobe Creative Cloud
- Preferred background in journalism, communications, or related fields
