CAMDENTON, Mo. – Today, Aug. 15, 84 senior golfers competed in a Senior Series event held at Lake Valley Golf Club in Camdenton, Mo. Golfers teed off with a 10 a.m. shotgun start looking to shoot the lowest score in a round of stroke play.
Senior Series events are open to golfers who are members of the MGA and 50 years of age or older. Competitors compete in flights based on their age as of April 18, 2022.
Winning the 50-54 Open flight, Sean McQueary (Springfield) shot one under par, 71.
The winner of the 55-59 Open flight was Robert Godwin (Poplar Bluff) at three under, 69.
Frank Hoback (Kansas City) was the winner of the 60-64 Open flight at even par, 72.
Mike Heim (St. Joseph) won the 65-69 Open flight after shooting four over, 76.
Finally, Robert Trittler (Wentzville) held the lead in the 70+ Open flight at two over par, 74.
Tim Neely (Sunrise Beach) took home first in the 50-59 Net flight after shooting par.
George Barkho (Fulton) was the winner of the 60-64 Net flight at one under, 71.
In the 65-69 Net flight, Dana Elwell (Nixa) came out on top after shooting three under, 69.
Lastly, the 70+ Net flight ended in a tie for first with both Charles Kaiser (Jefferson City) and Terry Souchek (Columbia) finishing at one over, 73.
