POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. – Today, Sept. 18, 2023, the Missouri Golf Association held a Senior Series Tour event at Westwood Hills Country Club in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. A field of 48 senior golfers divided into flights by age competed in today’s round of stroke play.
Senior Series events are open to male golfers who are members of the MGA and 50 years of age or older. Competitors compete in flights based on their age as of April 17, 2023.
In the 50-59 Open division, Robert Godwin (Poplar Bluff) was the winner at even par, 71.
Brett Allen (Columbia) and Tim Holmes (Springfield) tied for first in the 60-64 Open flight, both shooting one under, 70.
John McCulloch (Jefferson City) was the leader of the 65-69 Open flight at five over, 76.
Finally, Don Kuehn (Kansas City) shot two over, 73, to win the 70+ Open division.
The following net flights have handicap strokes deducted from final scores.
Steven Cameron (Miller) shot one under, 70, to win the 50-58 Net flight.
Tony Farris (Hermann) was the winner of the 59-64 Net division with a score of three under, 68.
In the 65-69 Net flight, Kevin Kluge (Florissant) shot par, 71, to win the division.
Lastly, there was a three way tie for first place in the 70-75 Net group, each player shooting two over, 73: Terry Souchek (Columbia), Marvin Frazier (Festus) and Daric Elwell (Warrensburg).
