CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (July 9, 2025) – The Missouri Golf Association’s Senior Series Tour made its annual stop at Dalhousie Golf Club this week, where senior golfers from across the state competed in a one-day event. While storms forced the cancellation of Tuesday’s round, Monday’s tournament offered plenty of highlights across the Open and Net divisions on one of Missouri’s premier championship courses.
In the 50-54 Open division, Tod Rose (West Plains) topped the leaderboard with a 1-over 73. Rose recorded five birdies during his round, setting himself apart from the field. Tony Nolfo (Festus) followed in second at 7-over 79, while Brad Thielemeier (Poplar Bluff) rounded out the top three at 13-over 85.
Brian Haskell (St. Joseph) delivered a steady performance to claim the 55-59 Open division title with a 3-over 75, parring every hole on the back nine. Rodney Dolbeare (Louisiana) took second at 5-over 77, and Darrin Pryor (Springfield) finished third.
The 60-64 Open division featured the low round of the day, as Scott Whittaker (Scottsdale) shot 2-under 70. Whittaker had only one bogey and capped his round with an eagle on the par-5 18th. Mike Clark (Owensville) carded an even-par 72 to take second, followed by David Pfeil (Eureka) at 1-over 73.
Joe Bellmer (Columbia) led the way in the 65-69 Open division, firing a 2-over 74 that included four birdies. Dennis Osborne (Ballwin) finished second at 5-over 77, and BJ Curry (Sunrise Beach) and Mike O’Neil (St. Louis) tied for third with matching rounds of 78.
In the 70+ Open division, Tony Brown (St. Louis) captured the win with a 7-over 79. Ron Eilers (Columbia) took second at 13-over 85, and Kyle Blaze (Fenton) followed at 26-over 98.
Net division winners included John Renfro (Sullivan) and Justin Buttram, who shared the 50-59 Net title with rounds of 77. Tim Borman (Kingdom City) was one stroke back at 78.
Todd Lowman (Cape Girardeau) went 5-under to take first in the 60-64 Net division, ahead of Joseph Blandina (St. Charles) at 3-under and Rodger Robbins (St. Louis) at 2-under.
In the 65-69 Net division, Tony Farris (Fulton) and Dave Pingel (Branson West) tied for first at 1-under 71. Daniel Delaney (Glen Carbon) finished third at 1-over 73.
Rick Dickerscheid (Ballwin) claimed the 70-74 Net title at 1-under 71. Woody Harrelson (Jonesboro) took second at 3-over 75, and Terry Souchek (Columbia) placed third at 5-over 77.
John Abercrombie (Cape Girardeau) led the 75+ Net division with a 6-over 78. King Edmonston (St. Louis) and Craig Larson (Manchester) completed the top three.
The Missouri Golf Association thanks Dalhousie Golf Club and its staff for hosting this week’s Senior Series event and providing an exceptional course for competition. The tour continues July 21 at Lake Valley Golf Club in Camdenton.
