JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (July 25, 2024) – Oak Hills Golf Center in Jefferson City, Missouri, hosted an exciting Missouri Junior Tour event today. This 18-hole public golf course, spanning 5,581 yards, offers a challenging yet enjoyable experience for golfers of all levels.
Originally scheduled for June 26 but postponed due to weather and unplayable conditions, today’s event saw 79 junior golfers competing across various age groups, showcasing their skills on the competitive greens of Oak Hills.
In the 16-18 Boys division, Isaiah Cairer (St. James) took first place with a score of 4-over, 74. Sam Kliethermes (Jefferson City) finished second at 7-over, 77, while Michael Atnip (Jefferson City) secured third place with 9-over, 79.
Audrey Smith (Rolla) emerged victorious in the 16-18 Girls division, scoring 16-over, 86. Mia McGraw (Jefferson City) took second place with 19-over, 89, and Emma Kliethermes (Jefferson City) finished third with 26-over, 96.
In the 14-15 Boys division, Lake Bennett (Linn) clinched first place with a score of 8-over, 78. Owen Zastrow (Washington) finished second at 10-over, 80, while Hunter Hovis (Jefferson City) took third with 16-over, 86.
Gabby Anderson, the sole competitor in the 14-15 Girls 9 Hole division, completed her round at 26-over, 62.
In the 14-15 Girls 18 Hole division, Haven Evers (Eldon) won with a score of 8-over, 78. Aliyah Simmons (Columbia) finished second at 20-over, 90, and Camdyn Jones (Knob Noster) took third with 28-over, 98.
Blaine Munzlinger (Columbia) emerged as the winner in the 12-13 Boys 18 Hole division, scoring 3-over, 73, with four birdies. Jagger Glaze (Eldon) finished second at 10-over, 80, and Cooper Frey (Eldon) took third with 11-over, 81.
In the 12-13 Boys 9 Holes division, Samuel Kampeter (Jefferson City) secured first place with a score of 10-over, 46. Reid Hampton (Tipton) finished second at 16-over, 52, and Joel Lueckenhoff (Jefferson City) took third with 17-over, 53.
McKenzie Martin (Jefferson City) and Drew Maze tied for first in the 10-13 Girls division, both scoring 8-over, 44. Martin won the chip-off to take the gold, while Maze received the silver medal. Elly Wilson (Jefferson City) finished third with 9-over, 45.
In the 10-11 Boys division, Jack Shimmens (Jefferson City) secured first place with a score of 8-over, 44. Calvin Sears (Columbia) and Graeme Atteberry (Jefferson City) tied at 15-over, 51, with Atteberry winning the chip-off for silver and Sears taking bronze.
Emerson Munzlinger (Columbia) emerged victorious in the 8-9 Girls division with a score of 16-over, 52. Reagan Sears (Columbia) finished second at 19-over, 55, and Allison Knaebel (Columbia) took third with 23-over, 59.
Logan Knaebel (Columbia) won the 8-9 Boys division with a score of 12-over, 48, including two birdies. Brady Shivers (Jefferson City) finished second at 22-over, 58.
This was the final Missouri Junior Tour event of the year before the Missouri Junior Tour Championship on August 5-6.

The Missouri Golf Association was started in St. Louis in 1905 to run the Amateur Championship.
