BOONEVILLE, Mo. (July 24, 2024) – Hail Ridge Golf Course in Booneville, Missouri, hosted an exciting Missouri Junior Tour event today. The par 71 course provided a challenging backdrop for the 77 junior golfers competing in various age groups. With Zoysia fairways and bent grass greens, Hail Ridge is known for its strategic play.
Hail Ridge is Central Missouri’s premier 18-hole golf course, offering a perfect blend of fun, challenge, nature, and premium turf care. With its classic Ozark style, smaller old-school greens, and exceptional service, Hail Ridge remains a favorite among golfers of all levels.
In the 16-18 Boys division, Sam Kliethermes (Jefferson City) secured first place with a score of 1-under, 70, thanks to five birdies during his round. Carter Bryan (Jefferson City) and Easton Stiers (Hermann) tied for second at 1-over, 72. Bryan, who had four birdies, won the chip-off for the silver medal, while Stiers, with two birdies, took home the bronze.
Emma Kliethermes (Jefferson City) emerged victorious in the 16-18 Girls division, scoring 16-over, 87. Nyah Strupp (Columbia) finished second at 19-over, 90, and Jodie Kelemen (Cuba) took third with 28-over, 99.
In the 14-15 Boys division, Blayne Altermatt (Mountain View) clinched first place with a score of 1-under, 70, recording six birdies. Kaden Massie (Ashland) finished second at even par, 71, with three birdies and just three bogeys. Isaiah Parton (Buckner) took third with 2-over, 73.
Gabby Vineyard (Kearney) dominated the 14-15 Girls division with a score of 2-under, 69, the lowest score of the day across all age groups, featuring five birdies, one bogey, and one double bogey. Aliyah Simmons (Columbia) secured second place with 12-over, 83, while Addison Kekec (Jefferson City) finished third at 26-over, 97.
In the 12-13 Boys (18 Holes) division, Blaine Munzlinger (Columbia) emerged victorious with an even par, 71, including five birdies. Graham Henley (Eldon) finished second at 2-over, 73, highlighted by an eagle on hole 14. Jack Sinnett (Jefferson City) took third with 5-over, 76.
Grant Darr (Kirksville) won the 12-13 Boys (9 Holes) division with a score of 8-over, 44. Reid Hampton (Tipton) finished second at 10-over, 46, and Jackson Benbrook (Sedalia) took third with 13-over, 49.
Drew Maze (Columbia) triumphed in the 10-13 Girls division with a score of 9-over, 45. Elly Wilson (Jefferson City) and Emma Patterson (Columbia) tied for second place at 18-over, 54, with Wilson winning the chip-off for the silver medal and Patterson taking home bronze.
In the 10-11 Boys division, Tyson Strupp (Columbia) secured first place with a score of 1-over, 37, including two birdies. Hunter Brown (Washington) finished second at 3-over, 39, and Greyson Stephens (Adrian) took third with 7-over, 43.
Emerson Munzlinger (Columbia) won the 8-9 Girls division with a score of 12-over, 48. Allison Knaebel (Columbia) finished second at 23-over, 59.
Logan Knaebel (Columbia) emerged victorious in the 8-9 Boys division with a score of 5-over, 41, while Brett Benbrook (Sedalia) finished second at 9-over, 45.

ABOUT MGA: The Missouri Golf Association is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote the best interests and true spirit of the game of golf throughout the State of Missouri.
The Missouri Golf Association was started in St. Louis in 1905 to run the Amateur Championship. Four founding clubs would be the ones in existence in St. Louis in those early years – St. Louis Country Club, Algonquin Golf Club, Glen Echo Golf Club and Normandie Golf Club.
