SEDALIA, Mo. (June 17, 2024) – Today, the MGA’s Senior Series Tour made a stop at Sedalia Country Club in Sedalia. A total of 89 senior golfers played a round of stroke play on the par-70 course.
Senior Series events are open to male golfers who are members of the MGA and 50 years of age or older. Competitors compete in flights based on their age as of April 22, 2024.
Christian Corpe (Lake Ozark) and Darin Baldwin (Warrensburg) tied for the win in the 50-54 Open division with scores of 3-over, 73.
In the 55-59 Open division, Bobby Godwin (Poplar Bluff) was the winner at 1-under, 69.
Tim Holmes (Springfield) won the 60-64 Open division, shooting 1-over, 71.
Tim Rinker (West Plains) came out on top of the 65-69 Open flight with a score of 1-over, 71.
Finally, Robert Trittler (Wentzville) shot 1-over, 71, and was the winner of the 70+ open flight.
The following net flights have handicap strokes deducted from final scores:
Tim Borman (Kingdom City) and Dan Cambell (Jefferson City) tied for the win in the 50-58 Net flight after shooting 3-under, 67.
With a score of 4-under, 66, Ronald Wofford (Warrenton) earned first in the 59-64 Net flight.
In the 65-69 Net flight, Ron Hogue (Springfield) had the lowest score at 6-under, 64.
Hugh McKay (Jefferson City) came out on top of the 70-74 Net group at even par, 70.
Lastly, the 75+ Net group saw John Carrington (St. Louis) as its winner after he shot 4-under, 66.
