JACKSON, Mo. – Today, July 11, 2023, a Senior Series Tour event was held at Kimbeland Country Club in Jackson, Missouri. A total of 63 senior golfers divided into flights by age competed in today’s round of stroke play.
Senior Series events are open to male golfers who are members of the MGA and 50 years of age or older. Competitors compete in flights based on their age as of April 17, 2023.
Mark Lee (Miller) had the lowest score in the 50-54 Open flight at four over, 75.
In the 55-59 Open division, John Shock (Poplar Bluff) was the winner after shooting four over, 75.
David Rudd (Wildwood) and Tom Barry (St. Louis) tied for first place in the 60-64 Open division, both shooting par, 71.
Dennis Osborne (Ballwin) came out on top of the 65-69 Open flight, shooting four over, 75.
Finally, Ron Eilers (Columbia) shot four over, 75, winning the 70+ Open division.
The following net flights have handicap strokes deducted from final scores.
Steven Cameron (Miller) won the 50-58 Net flight with a score of five under, 66.
Russ Fees (Dadeville) led the 59-64 Net division, firing one over, 72.
In the 65-69 Net flight, Dave Pingel (Hartsburg) had the lowest score at four under, 67.
Terry Souchek (Columbia) came out on top of the 70-74 Net group at two under, 69.
Lastly, the 75+ Net group saw a three way tie for first place, all men shooting par, 71: Doug Williams (Manchester), Dick Halterman (Weldon Spring) and King Edmonston (St. Louis).
