SMITHVILLE, Mo. (June 6, 2024) – The second and final round of the inaugural Kansas City Classic at Paradise Point Golf Complex in Smithville took place today. Congratulations to Noah Naugle (Nixa) and Betsy Mitchell for shooting the low scores of the tournament and being crowned the 2024 Kansas City Classic Champions!

At the top of the leaderboard on the boys’ side, Noah Naugle (Nixa) emerged as the 2024 Kansas City Classic Male Champion. Naugle shot an even-par 72 in the first round, tying for fourth place. He then displayed remarkable consistency in the second round, finishing with a 1-over 73, thanks to three birdies. This brought his total score to 1-over, 145, propelling him to the top of the leaderboard.

Naugle ended the day tied for first place with Chayton Jordan (Rolla), who also posted a total score of 145. Jordan started strong with a 1-under, 71 in the first round, securing third place. His four birdies in the second round resulted in a score of 3-over, 74, matching Naugle’s total. The tie necessitated a playoff, which Naugle won on the first hole, securing the gold while Jordan took the silver.

Spencer matched Naugle’s first-round score of even par, 72, while Franklin shot a 2-over, 74. Despite higher scores in the second round, their overall performance earned them spots on the podium.

Mitchell maintained her lead from round one and improved her score by three strokes, shooting 3-over, 75 in the second round. Her total score of 10-over, 154 gave her an 11-stroke lead over the rest of the field, earning her the gold medal.
