SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Missouri Golf Association will host the 94th annual Women’s Amateur Championship at Hickory Hills Country Club. This will be the fifth time Hickory Hills will serve as host for the Women’s Amateur Championship, the last time being in 1999. The first year they hosted the championship was in 1949.
“Hickory Hills Country Club and our entire team look forward to hosting the 2024 Missouri Golf Association Women’s Amateur Championship June 17-20,” said Hickory Hills Director of Golf Rick Neal. “We hope all the women will enjoy our fabulous course along with all of our amenities. We look forward to a wonderful event, and to crowning a great champion.”
This will be a 54 hole stroke play competition, with the player shooting the lowest total hole score being named the MGA Women’s Amateur Champion.
“I am excited for the Missouri Women’s Amateur Championship to be played at Hickory Hills next June,” MGA Executive Director Scott Hovis said. “Hickory Hills has a rich history of being one of the finest clubs in the Midwest, I look forward to the best lady golfers of Missouri to compete at such a wonderful facility.”
Entries will be open to female amateur golfers who are current members of the MGA with a certified handicap index from an authorized USGA club.

The Missouri Golf Association was started in St. Louis in 1905 to run the Amateur Championship.
