Final Junior Tour Event Held at Deer Chase

LINN CREEK, Mo. (July 26, 2023) – Today, the Missouri Junior Tour held its final event of the season at The Golf Club at Deer Chase in Linn Creek, Missouri. A field of 83 total junior golfers divided into age divisions all competed in a round of 9-hole stroke play.

Jackson Marcee (St. James) and Chayton Jordan (Rolla) tied for the lead in the 16-18 Male flight with a score of even par, 36. After a chip off was held, Marcee took home the gold and Jordan took home silver. Landon Mabe (Steelville) was right behind them at shot one over, 37, for third place. 

Page Bowman (Springfield) is the winner of the 16-18 Female division with a score of one over, 37. Audrey Smith (Rolla) was behind her at three over, 39, for second place, and Sophie Hinds (Jefferson City) took home third at four over, 40.

In the 14-15 Male division, Chancen Jordan (Rolla) and Grayson Moore (Jefferson City) tied for first place at five over, 41. Moore won the chip off to earn the gold, and Jordan took second and the silver. There was a four-way tie for third place between Zach Hull (Eldon), Hagan Ritter (Macon), Michael Atnip (Jefferson City) and Lake Bennett (Linn). A chip off for third resulted in Bennett taking home bronze. 

Haven Evers (Eldon) won the 14-15 Female group with a score of 11 over, 46. Charlotte Fischer (Sedalia) came in second place at 13 over, 48, and Aliyah Simmons (Columbia) earned third place with a score of 14 over, 49.

In the 12-13 Male 18-hole division, Ty Brandt (Jefferson City) won with a score of one over, 36. Jackson Bennett (Eldon) took home second place after firing three over, 38, and Hunter Hovis (Jefferson City) placed third at seven over, 42.

Maxwell Sutton (Springfield) won the 12-13 Male 9-hole flight, firing three over, 38. Jack Sinnett (Jefferson City) came in second place at four over, 39. Two players tied for third place, both shooting nine over, 44: Luke McGrath (Camdenton) and Graham Henley (Eldon).

McKenzie Martin (Jefferson City) is the winner of the 10-13 Female flight, shooting 10 over, 45. Ashtyn Shaw (Jefferson City) earned second place with a score of 22 over, 57, and Ella Marcee (St. James) placed third at 31 over, 66.

In the 10-11 Male division, Blaine Munzlinger (Columbia) came out on top with a score of five over, 40. Brock Jernigan (Lebanon) took home second place at seven over, 42, and Jagger Glaze (Eldon) placed third with a score of eight over, 43.

There were just two competitors in the 8-9 Male flight. Klay Knight (Buffalo) earned first place at six over, 42, and Logan Knaebel (Columbia) shot seven over, 43, winning second place.

There were only two competitors in the 8-9 Female division, as well. Emerson Munzlinger (Columbia) took first place at 20 over, 56, and Allison Knaebel (Columbia) earned second at 29 over, 65.
