ROLLA, Mo. (June 11, 2026) – Challenging conditions greeted players at Oak Meadow Country Club for the Missouri Amateur Last Chance Qualifier, where only four spots remained available in the field for the 119th Missouri Amateur Championship.
Temperatures climbed into the upper 80s throughout the day, while sustained winds of 15 to 20 miles per hour and gusts approaching 30 miles per hour tested players from the opening tee shot. Conditions eased slightly during the afternoon, but the combination of heat and wind kept scoring at a premium.
With only four qualifying positions available, the leaderboard remained tightly packed throughout the day. Players climbed into contention and fell back as difficult conditions made every shot count.
Dawson Schnieders of Jefferson City and Ben Christian of Dexter shared medalist honors after each posted an even-par 70, the low rounds of the day. Schnieders and Christian were the only players to finish at even par or better, securing their places in the championship field.
The final two qualifying positions were earned by Owen Zastrow of Washington and Chayton Jordan of Rolla, who tied for third at 2-over-par 72.
The four qualifiers complete the 144-player field for the 119th Missouri Amateur Championship, which will be contested June 23–28 at Milburn Country Club in Kansas City. The championship will bring together the state’s top amateur golfers as they compete for Missouri’s most prestigious amateur title.
