Coyle Claims Third Mid-Am Crown; Blasi Captures First Senior Title at Lake Valley

August 26, 2025

CAMDENTON, Mo. (Aug. 27, 2025) — Mindy Coyle (Columbia) and Christie Blasi (Ozark) closed out a big week at Lake Valley Golf Club, winning the Missouri Golf Association’s 15th Women’s Mid-Amateur and 33rd Women’s Senior Amateur Championships, respectively.

Coyle secured her third Missouri Women’s Mid-Amateur title—and first since 2013—with a final-round 74 to post 1-under 143 for the championship. Despite an up-and-down day, she cashed three birdies and kept control down the stretch. Blasi shot 73 to finish runner-up, while Kathy Glennon (Wildwood) carded 81 and took third.

Blasi broke through for her first Missouri Women’s Senior Amateur title, firing a closing 73 that included two birdies and an eagle at No. 14. She finished at 4-over 148, winning by 11 strokes over Tina Jones and Glennon, who shared second at 15-over 159.

In the Senior Net Division, which applies handicaps and awards the trophy to the lowest net score by a player who is not the Senior Amateur champion, Connie Cook (Springfield) took home the title with a net 75 today and a 5-over 149 total. Blasi followed with a net 74 for 6-over 150, and Jones placed third at net 78 for 9-over 153.

In Open Division play, Christine Tran (Columbia) won with a 90 today for 35-over 179. In the Senior Net Open Division, Pamela Lenhard (St. Peters) posted a net 72 today to finish net 145 (+1) after an opening net 73.

The MGA thanks Lake Valley Golf Club and all competitors for supporting championship women’s golf in Missouri.
