Celebrating the 2025 MGA Intern Class on National Intern Day

July 31, 2025

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (July 31, 2025) – On National Intern Day, we’re proud to highlight the incredible team of interns who have contributed their time to the Missouri Golf Association this summer. These internships, supported by the USGA’s P.J. Boatwright Grant, offer aspiring professionals hands-on experience in tournament operations, communications and golf administration.

Our 2025 interns have assisted with everything from tournament prep and course setup to player relations and media coverage—all while gaining valuable industry knowledge and forming strong connections across Missouri’s golf community.

Jacob Anderson (Ashland) is an Operations Intern and a familiar face to many. He grew up playing in Missouri Junior Tour and MGA junior events and competed on the golf team at Mid-America Nazarene University as a freshman. This fall, he’s transferring to the University of Missouri. Jacob spends much of his time on the Senior Series Tour with our Senior Series Director, Rocky, and also helps coordinate event volunteers.

Brendan Hess (Hannibal) is an Operations Intern and a senior sport management major at the University of Missouri. During the school year, he works as a marketing intern for Mizzou Athletics. Brendan enjoys traveling to new courses and helped coordinate this year’s Champions Dinner.

Sophie Hinds (Jefferson City) is an Operations Intern and part of an MGA intern family connection—both of her siblings were also interns. She played in MGA and MJT events growing up and enjoys learning new things and building connections on the golf course.

Teagen Hull (Eldon) is an Operations Intern and former Missouri Junior Amateur Champion. He’s been named MJT Player of the Year multiple times and played college golf at Western Illinois during his freshman year. He’ll join the Columbia College golf team this fall under Head Coach Noah Wilson, another former MGA intern.

Seth Larson (Columbia) is an Operations Intern who recently graduated from Columbia College, where he played basketball. He has focused on course rating this summer and says his favorite part of the job is learning more about the game and forming friendships.

Jordyn Runde (Wisconsin) is the MGA’s Communications Intern this year. A rising junior marketing major at Mizzou, she works many of the Missouri Junior Tour events and has enjoyed getting to know junior golfers and gaining experience in golf marketing and administration.

Ashlyn Sanders (Columbia) is an Operations Intern and recent graduate of Columbia College, where she played on the women’s golf team. She enjoys meeting new people and hopes to work with junior golfers in the future.

Ty Wood (Jefferson City) is an Operations Intern and junior at the University of Missouri. He has a positive attitude and team-first mindset, and Ty has especially enjoyed traveling to different events across the state.

We’re incredibly thankful for the hard work and enthusiasm each of these interns brings to the MGA. Their efforts help make our events run smoothly and our community stronger.

Happy National Intern Day!
