NEW BLOOMFIELD, Mo. (June 6, 2025) – The Missouri Amateur Championship qualifier at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club concluded this afternoon, with 18 players advancing to the state championship following a competitive round that featured light rain and a six-for-one playoff to determine the final qualifying spot.
Hayden Brogdon (Lebanon) and Elliot Soyez (Goddard) shared medalist honors after both carded 2-under-par 70s. Brogdon recorded four birdies and played a bogey-free back nine, while Soyez tallied five birdies over the course of his round. They were the only players in the field to finish under par.
Gunnar Schuster (Osage Beach), Sam Kliethermes (Jefferson City) and Garrett McIntosh (Columbia) tied for third place, each shooting even-par 72.
With the cutline set at 4-over-par 76, six players went to a playoff for the final qualifying position.
Jesper Holke Farnam (Grundy Center) eagled the first playoff hole to claim the final spot in the Missouri Amateur field. Jeff Knaebel (Columbia) is the first alternate, and Ty Cooper (Branson) is the second alternate.
