Junior Match Play Update Thursday, June 14
June 13 was the start of the Junior Match Play Championship held at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club in New Bloomfield, MO. The tournament kicked off with an 18 hole stroke play round. Out of the 55 players in the boys field, the top 32 qualified for the match play rounds. There was a four way tie with a score of 82 to qualify for the final three spots in the match play bracket. Drew Armstrong, Gabriel Trowbridge, and Michael Steelman took the last three positions as Blake Lammers fell short in the playoff. Alec Palen ofRogersville,MOposted the best round of 1 under par 71 for the boys and Ashley Rand of Branson, MO tallied an 82 as the best round for the girls. The match play tournament will continue for the boys and girls with the final round being played on Saturday, June 16.
