BRANSON, Mo. (Aug. 17, 2025) – After two days of competitive play at Branson Hills Golf Club, the team of Kory Franks (Lake Ozark) & Brad Carpenter (Washington) emerged as champions of the 37th Missouri Four Ball Championship. Branson Hills Golf Club, hosting the event for the second time, provided a challenging yet scenic test with its Ozark Mountain layout.

Franks & Carpenter opened the tournament on Saturday with a 7-under 65, highlighted by a stretch of three consecutive birdies at the end of the front nine. They entered the final round with the lead, but found themselves tested early, failing to card a birdie until the eighth hole. From there, the duo made seven birdies down the stretch to post an 8-under 64. Their two-day total of 15-under 129 was enough to secure the championship.

The runner-up spot went to Ryan Schuenke (Quincy) & Alex McCulla (Quincy), who made a late charge with a final-round 63, improving on their opening round by five strokes. Their nine birdies propelled them to 13-under 131 for the week.

Finishing in third were Andrew Bristow (Branson) & Jarod Meyer (Branson) at 12-under 132. The pair had a chance to tie for first with a birdie on the final hole but instead bogeyed, settling for third despite carding nine birdies on the day.

Several teams made notable runs on Sunday, including Chase Gafner (Springfield) & Dylan Bekemeier (Springfield), who shot 64 in the final round after opening with an even-par 72. Their eight birdies—including six from Bekemeier—and Gafner’s eagle on No. 4 vaulted them into a tie for sixth place.

In the Net Division, Ethan Friley (O’Fallon) & Ryan Friley (O’Fallon) claimed the title with a two-day total of 16-under 128. The duo sealed their victory with a closing 63, edging out the field by three strokes.

Defending champions Keith Quigley (Manchester) & Matt Besserman (Maryland Heights) matched the Frileys with a Sunday 63, finishing runner-up at 13-under 131.

Tying for third place at 12-under 132 were Bob Cole (Liberty) & Brian Cole (Topeka), who carded a final-round 64, and Dan Silva (Wentzville) & Brandon Garnett (O’Fallon), who closed with a 68.

The Missouri Golf Association congratulates all teams on their performance and thanks the staff at Branson Hills Golf Club for hosting an excellent championship. For full results and upcoming tournament information, visit www.mogolf.org or contact the MGA office at (573) 636-8994.
