JEFFERSON CITY, Mo (June 25th, 2025) – Junior golfers from across Missouri gathered at Oak Hills Golf Center in Jefferson City for today’s MJT event. To prioritize player safety amid extreme heat, today’s event was modified to a 9-hole format for all divisions.
The following divisions were scheduled to play eighteen-holes of stroke play:
The 16-18 boys division saw a three-way tie for first place between Ty Brandt (Westphalia), Kaden Massie (Ashland) and Emory Lindahl (Hermann). All three players carded 2-over 36. After the chip-off, Lindahl took home the first place medal and Brandt took home second.
Aliyah Simmons (Columbia) won the 16-18 girls division with a 6-over 40. Haven Evers (Eldon) secured second place shooting a 9-over 43. Following closely behind, Mia McGram (Jefferson City) took third with a 10-over 44.
In the 14-15 boys division, Jackson Bennett (Eldon) claimed first shooting 1-over 35. With a 4-over 38, Birkley Simon (Clarksburg) placed second. Jack Sinnett (Jefferson City) shot a 7-over 41 to take third place.
The 14-15 girls division saw Rylee Allred (Ash Grove) at the top of the leaderboard with a 6-over 40. Allred’s round was highlighted with two birdies. McKenzie Martin (Jefferson City) finished second shooting 10-over 44. Elly Wilson (Jefferson City) carded a 11-over 45 to take third.
Blaine Munzlinger (Columbia) fired an even-par 34 to win the 12-13 boys division. Munzlinger parred every hole during his nine-hole round. Hunter Brown (Washington) placed second with a 5-over 39. Derrick Douglass (Moberly) claimed third place shooting a 7-over 41.
The following divisions played nine holes of stroke play:
Owen Bruemmer (Jefferson City) topped the leaderboard for the 12-13 boys division with a 9-over 45. Eli Moss (Sedalia) claimed second, shooting a 10-over 46. Grant Darr (Kirksville) and Adrian Showers (Brumley) tied for third place at 11-over 47. After the chip-off, Showers took home the third place medal.
In the 10-11 boys division, Aiden (Yu) Zhao (Columbia) finished first with a 8-over 44. Andrew Moss (Sedalia) and Logan Knaebel (Columbia) tied for second. Both players shot a 10-over 46 to end their round. Knaebel claimed the second place medal after the chip-off.
Emerson Munzlinger (Columbia) claimed first in the 8-9 girls division shooting a 9-over 45. Allison Knaebel (Columbia) carded a 24-over 60 to take second place. Harlee Martin (Jefferson City) shot a 30-over 66 for third place.
