SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (June 5, 2025) – The Missouri Amateur Championship qualifier at Rivercut Municipal Golf Course wrapped up this morning after weather delays pushed the conclusion of play into a second day. With 104 players competing for 36 spots, it marked the largest qualifier of the season.

Play began yesterday, June 4, but was suspended in the afternoon due to heavy rain and unplayable course conditions. The round resumed this morning at 7:30 a.m.

Britt Coy (Carthage) recorded the low round of the event with a 5-under-par 67, highlighted by seven birdies and just two bogeys. Coy recently completed his freshman season with the Missouri Southern State University men’s golf team.

Hunter Jowers (Jonesboro) finished second with a 3-under 69, notching five birdies. Jowers recently completed his senior season with the Drury University men’s golf team.

Aiden Asby (Bolivar) and Pedro Marchioni (São Paulo) were the only other players to break par, each shooting 1-under 71.

The cut to qualify landed at 5-over-par 77, with a tightly contested leaderboard and multiple scores hovering around the cutline as players completed their rounds. An 11-for-4 playoff determined the final qualifying spots.

Derek Reynolds (Springfield) secured the first spot with a birdie on the opening playoff hole. Evan Rogers (Battlefield) birdied the second hole to claim the second spot. On the third hole, Cooper Toalson (Eldon) birdied and Tim Holmes (Springfield) parred to earn the final two qualifying positions.

Bryce Marshall (Rogersville) and Devun Salazar (El Dorado Springs) continued into a playoff for the alternate positions. Marshall saved par to claim first alternate honors, while Salazar bogeyed to finish as the second alternate.

The Missouri Golf Association would like to thank the staff at Rivercut Municipal Golf Course for their support and flexibility in hosting the event through weather delays.

Congratulations to all of the qualifiers. We look forward to seeing them at the 118th Missouri Amateur Championship, scheduled for June 24–29 at The Club at Old Hawthorne in Columbia.
