EUREKA, Mo. (May 26, 2022) – The Missouri Golf Association’s 28th annual Senior Four Ball Championship is set to take place from June 1-2, 2022 at Fox Run Golf Club in Eureka, Missouri.
The Four Ball Championship is a 36 hole four ball competition with teams of two paired according to handicap index. Sixty five teams will compete in this year’s competition.
Practice will take place on Tuesday, May 31. The first round will kick off on Wednesday with tee times ranging from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. All teams will begin on the first hole, and this format will be followed for the second round on Thursday. The two day low gross score will determine the winner in each flight.

Championship – 6500 yards
Champ 65 and over – 6000 yards
Net 50-59 – 6000 yards
Net 60-69- 5800 – 6000 yards
Net 70 + 5600-5800 yards
Players’ Handicaps will be certified 7 days prior to the first day of the tournament 85% of Handicap allowance
To be eligible for this tournament, players must play at clubs or courses that are members of the MGA and must have reached their 50th birthday by the first day of competition. In addition to the $40 yearly membership fee, there is a $400 entry fee for each team. The entry fee includes the practice round, both championship rounds, cart fees for the championship rounds, and range balls for all three days.
The Senior Four Ball Championship is a point event that will contribute to qualification for the Senior Series Tour Championship at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club in New Bloomfield in October. Last year’s champions Brian Lovett and Tom Portner will be returning for this year’s Four Ball Championship; their winning score was an 11-under 131 (65, 66). Last year, Don Bliss and Dennis Osborne took home the title in the Super Senior division.

The Missouri Golf Association is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote the best interests and true spirit of the game of golf throughout the State of Missouri. The Missouri Golf Association was started in St. Louis in 1905 to run the Amateur Championship.
