Fulton, Mo. (Oct. 12, 2025) — The Missouri Golf Association hosted the 2nd Annual Boys Fall Classic this weekend at Tanglewood Golf Course in Fulton, welcoming a competitive field of 34 junior golfers ages 14–18 from across the state. The 36-hole event featured two rounds of stroke play, with tee times beginning yesterday afternoon and concluding this morning.
Lake Bennett (Linn, Class of 2027) emerged as this year’s champion, carding a 5-under total of 139 to take home the Boys Fall Classic title. Bennett set the tone early with an impressive three-under 69 in the opening round, highlighted by six birdies. He followed it up with a two-under 70 today, a round that featured three birdies and a hole-out eagle on the par-4 third hole to solidify his lead.
A close battle unfolded for second place, with Caleb Kim (Ozark, Class of 2026) and Hollis Jines (Bloomfield, Class of 2028) finishing tied at 1-over, 145.
Jines delivered the weekend’s biggest surge, bouncing back from a first-round 78 to post the low round of the tournament, a 5-under 67, featuring six birdies and a hole-out eagle on No. 2.
Kim opened with a sharp 3-under 69 that included seven birdies, and despite a tougher 76 today, he still recorded five birdies to finish in a share of second.
