CAMDENTON, Mo. (July 21, 2025) – Despite scattered storms throughout the region, 80 senior golfers played 18 holes at Lake Valley Golf Club as the Missouri Golf Association’s Senior Series continued its summer schedule.

In the 50-54 Open division, Eric Thomas (Osage Beach) led the way with a 5-over 77. Darin Baldwin (Warrensburg) followed at 7-over 79, while Clark Holdren (Warrensburg) placed third with a 23-over 95.

Greg Crawford (Joplin) claimed the 55-59 Open title with a 9-over 81. Rodney Dolbeare (Louisiana) took second at 12-over 84, followed by Neil Atkinson (Eldon) at 24-over 96.

Scott Whittaker (Scottsdale, Ariz.) delivered the low score of the day in the 60-64 Open division, carding an even-par 72 that included four birdies and an eagle. David Pfeil (Eureka) finished one stroke back at 1-over 73. Mike Clark (Owensville) and Dan Luebbert (Holts Summit) shared third place at 3-over 75.

In the 65-69 Open division, Mike O’Neil (St. Louis) recorded three birdies on his way to a 5-over 77. Don Johnson (Nixa) and Tim Rinker (West Plains) each finished at 8-over 80 to tie for second.

George Bowler (Warrensburg) earned top honors in the 70+ Open division with a 3-over 75, highlighted by three birdies. Tony Brown (St. Louis) followed closely at 4-over 76, and Ron Eilers (Columbia) rounded out the top three at 5-over 77.

The Net divisions also featured strong performances, led by Doug Grooms (Camdenton), who fired a 3-under 69 to win the 60-64 Net division. Mike Domenick (Festus) finished second at 1-under 71, while Ronald Wofford (Warrenton) carded a 1-over 73.

In the 50-59 Net division, Kyle Adkins (Camdenton) took the top spot with a 3-over 75. Justin Buttram (Centerview) followed at 4-over 76, and Jeff Brown (Sunrise Beach) finished third with a 5-over 77.

Shawn May (Columbia) posted an even-par 72 to win the 65-69 Net division. David Highley (Willard) shot 1-over 73 to claim second, followed by Sam Puckett (Holts Summit) at 3-over 75.

The 70-74 Net division saw a tie for first, with Hugh McKay (Jefferson City) and Darrell Oller (Maryville) each shooting 2-over 74. Ray Burton (Warrensburg) and Marvin Frazier (Festus) shared third place at 3-over 75.

Gerald Oney (Walnut Shade) captured the 75+ Net division with a 6-over 78. Jim Hallar (Holden) finished second at 8-over 80, while Lee Larscheid (Kansas City) followed at 10-over 82.
