WARRENSBURG, Mo. (June 17, 2025) – Senior golfers from across Missouri gathered at Mules National Golf Club for a competitive day of play. The Missouri Golf Association’s Senior Series delivered strong performances across both Open and Net divisions.
In the 50-54 Open division, Darin Baldwin (Warrensburg) put together an even-par on the back nine to end 3-over 73. Chris Smith (Lee’s Summit) finished second at 6-over 76, and Brad Thielemier (Poplar Bluff) took third at 8-over 78 to finish the day.
The 55-59 Open division was led by JD Akers (Nixa), who carded a 4-over 74. Bradford McCrary (Leawood) finished second at 9-over 79, with Darrin Pryor (Springfield) shooting 11-over 81 to claim third place.
Jeff Spies (Ozark) led the way in the 60-64 Open division, shooting 2-over 72 with three birdies. Steve Groom (Raytown) and David Johnson (Kirkwood) shared second at 4-over 74.
In the 65-69 Open division, Mike O’Neill (St. Louis) delivered a bogey-free back nine to end 2-over 72. BJ Curry (Sunrise Beach) claimed second shooting 4-over 74. Joe Bellmer (Columbia) followed closely at 5-over 75.
Ron Eilers (Columbia) and George Bowler (Warrensburg) tied for first in the 70+ Open division with 3-over 73. Both players carded three birdies during their round, making for a competitive finish. Don Kuehn (Kansas City) finished third at 7-over 77.
Strong competition challenged players in the Net divisions. Jeff Brown (Sunrise Beach) topped the leaderboard in the 50-59 Net division. Brown shot 1-over 71, highlighted by five birdies to secure the win. Tim Borman (Kingdom City), Mark McCarter (Jefferson City) and Justin Buttram (Centerview) all tied for second at 2-over 72.
In the 60-64 Net division, Mike Domenick (Festus) and Matt Hall (Florissant) carded 1-over 71 to tie for first. Danny Banderas (Lee’s Summit) and Emmett Thompson II (Lee’s Summit) tied for third place shooting 4-over 74.
Chuck Sutherland (Sedalia) fired 6-under 64 to claim the top spot in the 65-69 Net division. Joseph Dandurand (Warrensburg) took second at 2-over 72. Terry Farmer (Warrensburg) took third, shooting 3-over 73.
A challenging field in the 70-74 Net division led to a three-way tie for first. Garret Anielak (Hermann), Ray Burton (Warrensburg) and Steven Long (Ashland) all finished at 2-over 72.
In the 75+ Net division, Jim Hallar (Holden) took first with a 2-over 72. Jan Skola (Camdenton) took second at 6-over 76, and Lee Larscheid (Kansas City) finished third at 9-over 79.
