COLUMBIA, Mo. (May 22, 2025) – A dramatic final round unfolded Thursday at the 27th annual Two Lady Scramble, hosted at the Country Club of Missouri, as teams battled shifting leads and breezy conditions during the 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.

In the Championship Flight, Kate Ryan (Columbia) & Hannah Mottert (Wentzville) surged ahead on the back nine to secure the victory. The pair fired an 8-under-par 64 for the second day in a row, finishing at 16-under-par 128. Their round included eight birdies and no bogeys.

After starting the day two strokes behind early leaders Siena Minor (Hannibal) & Kiser Pannier (Sedalia), Ryan & Mottert tied the lead with a trio of birdies on holes 11 through 13. Minor & Pannier slipped down the leaderboard after a costly double bogey on hole 14, while Ryan & Mottert saved par and maintained their momentum. The team of Grace Claney (St. Louis) & Meera Upadhyay (St. Louis) also birdied holes 11 through 13 and capitalized on the opportunity to jump into a tie for second place.

Claney & Upadhyay carded a 5-under-par 67 on the day for a total of 12-under-par 132, matching Minor & Pannier, who finished with a 4-under-par 68. The defending champions, Mindy Coyle (Columbia) & Stephanie Priesmeyer (Columbia), placed fourth at 11-under-par 133.

In Flight A, Barbara Blankenship (Jefferson City) & Christie Blasi (Ozark) maintained their lead with an even-par 72, finishing at 2-over-par 146 for the win. Stephanie Bruemmer (Jefferson City) & Margaret Davis (Jefferson City) placed second at 6-over-par 150. Tied for third were Sherry Kempton (Sedalia) & Janis Clemons (Lee’s Summit) and Julie Bochat (Holts Summit) & Rebecca Haskamp (Jefferson City), all finishing at 7-over-par 151.

In Flight B, Nikkie Roost (Fulton) & Bridget White (Jefferson City) moved into the top spot with a 77, closing at 14-over-par 158. Barb Ludy (Jefferson City) & Deanna McKay (Jefferson City) finished second at 19-over-par 163, and Jan Young (Jefferson City) & Deborah Ferguson (California) took third at 20-over-par 164.

Following the final round, an awards luncheon was held to celebrate the top finishers and wrap up the week. The Missouri Golf Association thanks the Country Club of Missouri for hosting this year’s event and all the players who made the 2025 Two-Lady Scramble another great success.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (May 21, 2025) – The first round of the 27th annual Two-Lady Scramble teed off today at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at the Country Club of Missouri. With 22 teams split into three competitive flights, players faced breezy conditions on the traditional, risk-reward layout located in southwest Columbia.

In the Championship Flight, two teams are tied atop the leaderboard after impressive rounds of 8-under-par 64. Kate Ryan (Columbia) & Hannah Mottert (Wentzville) carded six birdies and an eagle with a flawless scorecard, while Kiser Pannier (Sedalia) & Siena Minor (Hannibal) posted nine birdies and an eagle to match the lead. Sitting just one stroke behind, Meera Upadhyay (St. Louis) & Grace Claney (St. Louis) finished with a bogey-free round of 7-under-par 65, highlighted by seven birdies.

In Flight A, Barbara Blankenship (Jefferson City) & Christie Blasi (Ozark) lead the way at 2-over-par 74. Close behind, the teams of Julie Bochat (Holts Summit) & Rebecca Haskamp (Jefferson City) and Sherry Kempton (Sedalia) & Janis Clemons (Lee’s Summit) are tied for second at 4-over-par 76.

Flight B features a tie at the top between Barb Ludy (Jefferson City) & Deanna McKay (Jefferson City) and Nikkie Roost (Fulton) & Bridget White (Jefferson City), with both teams shooting 9-over-par 81. Just two strokes back, Karen Maier (Jefferson City) & Debbie Cuno (New Bloomfield) and Jan Young (Jefferson City) & Deborah Ferguson (California) are tied for third at 11-over-par 83.

Following the round, players gathered for a patio party hosted by Logboat Brewing Company. The event kicked off at 4:30 p.m. and gave participants a chance to relax, socialize and enjoy local refreshments after a competitive day on the course.

The final round of the Two-Lady Scramble will begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start tomorrow morning.
