JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Golf Association is excited to announce that Reese Hamilton has accepted the position of Director of Junior Golf & Course Ratings! Hamilton was an MGA intern for three summers and served as our Junior Golf Director this past summer, and we are happy to welcome her on to our full-time staff!

“2023 has been a banner year for the MGA, and we are so excited to add a quality person to our staff,” MGA President Wayne Fredrick said. “We have been lucky enough to see Reese’s work ethic as an intern over the past years, and most recently running the Junior Golf Program this summer. Her work ethic and ability to handle anything thrown her way will be a huge asset to the organization as we look to expand our Junior Golf footprint. I can’t think of a better person to head up that effort!”

In this position, Hamilton will manage and oversee the junior golf program. This includes scheduling and running all junior events, assisting junior golfers and managing the summer intern class. She will also coordinate and support the delivery of the course rating system in line with the Rules of Handicapping. Hamilton will work with MGA Member Clubs to maintain current and accurate ratings and slopes of their courses.

“I am extremely appreciative that [MGA Executive Director] Scott, Wayne and the MGA Board of Directors put their confidence in me to take on this role at the MGA,” Hamilton said. “I am thrilled to start this full-time position and help grow junior golf in the state of Missouri. Over the past four summers, I have built many great relationships with the junior golfers, and I look forward to providing them with more opportunities in the future.”

Hamilton recently graduated from Columbia College with a degree in Biology. At Columbia College, she played on the women’s soccer team and was named a Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athlete.

Hamilton can be reached at her work email rhamilton@mogolf.org, or at the MGA office number, (573) 636-8994.
