The Missouri Golf Association is excited to welcome seven interns who will assist in organizing and executing our summer tournaments this year! This is the largest intern class we have ever had here at the MGA, and we can’t wait to get started. Our interns play an integral role in running our events and assisting our members, so look out for them on the course this summer!

Let’s meet the seven students joining the MGA staff!

Chris Ebbesmeyer

Chris is originally from Paris, Missouri, and is currently a student at Mizzou studying Parks, Recreation, Sport and Tourism, with an emphasis in Sport Management & Tourism Development. He is the Director of Finance for the Mizzou Sport Parks Recreation & Tourism Association and an intern with Mizzou Athletics, where he helps with marketing and gameday experience! He previously served as an intern with the Grounds Crew at Bellerive Country Club, and as the Landscape Manager for Hopewell Farms in Paris.

Ella Fixsen

Ella is our sole Communications Intern this year! She will be working on social media, marketing, public relations and more during her time with the MGA. She is from De Soto, Kansas, and is attending Mizzou to study Journalism. While at Mizzou, she is a Creative Video Intern with Mizzou Athletics and a Social Media Strategist for Matchbook Marketing, a student-led marketing group. Finally, she serves as the Vice President & Treasurer for Mizzou’s chapter of the Association for Women in Sports Media.

Carson Hall

Carson recently received her Master’s in Business Administration from Columbia College! She graduated with her Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Columbia College in April 2022 and was on CC’s Women’s Golf Team from Fall 2020 to Spring 2023. You may have seen her before at Heritage Hills Golf Course in Moberly, where she worked both in the pro shop and in beverage cart sales. For three summers, she was a volunteer for the Moberly Spartan Junior Golf Camp where she helped up-and-coming junior golfers improve their game.

Raygan Hamilton

Raygan Hamilton grew up in Jefferson City and played golf at Helias Catholic High School before enrolling at Mizzou, where she majors in Health Science, Pre-Professional. She is a member of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity and volunteers for Champions are Readers, a reading enrichment program for students in pre-kindergarten through third grade! She also serves as an Ambassador for the School of Health Professions. 

Greta Hinds

This is Greta’s second summer as an Operations Intern for the MGA! She is from Jefferson City and currently attends Rockhurst University in Kansas City, where she is pursuing a B.S. in Sports Management. She is a previous MWGEA scholarship recipient, and was named an All-American Scholar by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association. She was the winner of the Brother James Gaffney, FSC Distinguished Scholar Award for the Great Lakes Valley Conference! She is a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity, and is involved in campus ministry. Welcome back, Greta!

Taylor Hovis

Taylor grew up in Jefferson City and played golf at Capital City High School, and now attends Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS, where she is studying Communications with a minor in Leadership. She is a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority, where she serves as Assistant Vice President of Communications and Operations. She was recently awarded the Glory of Missouri Award for Fraternity, which is given to one graduating high school senior who promotes the togetherness of their student body.

Caleb Mueller

Caleb is from Jefferson City, and now attends the University of Arizona where he is a Neuroscience and Cognitive Science major, with minors in Biochemistry and Spanish. He is a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity and serves as their Public Relations Chairman, and is a Research Assistant. He has over a hundred cumulative volunteer hours under his belt, helping the Jefferson City Animal Shelter, Day Solutions, where he helped adults with disabilities, Jefferson City Public Schools, and St. Joseph Cathedral School.

As you can see, we have an outstanding group of interns this year! Help us welcome them to the team, and keep an eye out for them on the course this summer!
