SUNRISE BEACH, Mo. — The 2022 Parent-Child Championship at The Club at Porto Cima has come to an end after the second day of play. The two-day tournament consisted of pairings that were made up of a father and son or daughter. 

All flights except for the championship flight played two rounds of scramble golf. 

Pairings in the Century Division had a combined age of 100 or older. Coming in first, carding 17 under par during the two rounds, are Jerry and Jared Pyatt. Scoring 15 under par, for a gross score of 129 are Greg and Brett McCauley. Jon and Gary Helton shot 12 under par, coming in third at 132. 

The Super Senior Division had pairings with one player being over the age of 70. There was a tie for first between the 2021 Parent-Child Super Senior Division champions Del and JD Hedrick and Derek and Randy Rahlmann. Both pairings shot 14 under par, for a total gross score of 130. Shooting 10 under par, carding a 134 after the two rounds, are Chris and Michael Scoles. 

In the Fricke Division, Curt and Cole Lehmen took home first place at nine under par, for a total gross of 135. They carded a six-stroke lead over their competitors. Beau and Bob Bryant placed second at three under par. Right behind the Bryants in third place are Mason and Joe Good. They carded a 142, two under par for the two rounds. 

In the Lanning Division, Steven and Jackson McRoberts came out on top with a score of 12 under par, for a total gross of 132. Jason and Jordan Ralston carded seven under par, to come in second place with a total score of 137. In third, at five under par for 139, is the team of Jackson and T.T. Patterson. 

We had a tie in the Nicklaus Division. Shooting 11 under par for a total gross for 133 are the teams of John and Mike McCormack and the 2021 Parent-Child Nicklaus division champions Mike and Michael Snyder. JP and Matt Ruble shot 10 under par for a total gross score of 134 and a third place finish. 

In the Watson Division, Jay and Cole Higgins shot the low score of 130, 14 under par, to place first. In second, at nine under par, Logan Moresi and Terry Throp carded a total score of 135. And in third, shooting seven under par for a total gross of 137, are Sam Verslues and Drew Higgins. 

The Championship flight played a 6/6/6 round. Holes 1-6 were scramble, 7-12 alternate shot and 13-18 consisted of best ball. Bringing home the hardware are Steve and Alexander Maurer. The pairing shot eight under in the scramble portion, six over during alternate shot and four under through the best ball holes to card a six under par, for a total gross of 138.  The 2021 Parent-Child Championship division champions Gregory and Greg Diederich shot four under par, for a total gross score of 140. In third, carding 141, three under par, are Robert and Bob Meeh.

SUNRISE BEACH, Mo. — Round one of the 2022 Parent Child Championship took place today at The Club at Porto Cima in Sunrise Beach, Mo. 

After the first round of competition, we have stand out leaders in almost every division. 

All of the following divisions played a scramble: 

Leading the Super Senior Division with a score of seven under par, 65, are Randy and Derek Rahlmann. Also shooting seven under par, 65, and leading the Century Division are Jerry and Jared Pyatt. Shooting three under par, 69, are Cole and Curt Lehmen; they are going into the final round with a three stroke lead. Leading the Lanning Division are Steven and Jackson McRoberts at six under par, 66. We are tied in the Nicklaus Division; both the teams of John and Mike McCormack and Matt and JP Ruble shot six under par, 66. Also shooting six under par, 66, and leading the Watson Division are Jay and Cole Higgins. 

The Championship bracket played a 6/6/6 format during round one. Holes 1-6 were scramble, 7-12 alternate shot and on holes 13-18, golfers in the championship division played best ball. Leading this division at three under par, 69 (21, 26, 22) is the team of Steve and Alexander Maurer. Just two strokes back, -1,  and tied for second place are the teams of Brooks and Darin Baldwin and Robert and Bob Meeh. 

Round two will begin tomorrow morning, with tee times starting at 8:00 a.m. There will be a morning and afternoon flight with golfers teeing off on holes one and ten.
