ST. CHARLES, Mo. – Today, 89 senior golfers competed in a Senior Series event held at Missouri Bluffs Golf Club in St. Charles, Mo. Tee times started at 8 a.m. with golfers looking to shoot the lowest score in a round of stroke play.
Senior Series events are open to golfers who are members of the MGA and 50 years of age or older. Competitors compete in flights based on their age as of April 18, 2022.
Winning the 50-54 Open flight, Tony Nolfo (Festus) shot two over, 73.
Two players tied for first place in the 55-59 Open flight after shooting par: Tom Barry (St. Louis) and Lowell Catron (Carthage).
Frank Hoback (Kansas City) was the winner of the 60-64 Open flight with a score of one over, 72.
Jim Beatson (Camdenton) won the 65-69 Open flight after shooting four over, 75.
Finally, Robert Trittler (Wentzville) and Ron Eilers (Columbia) tied for the lead in the 70+ Open flight at three over par, 74.
Mike Domenick (Festus) took home first in the 50-59 Net flight at two under par, 69.
Robert Bender (St. Louis) took home the title in the 60-64 Net flight with a score of two over, 73.
In the 65-69 Net flight, Dana Elwell (Nixa) came out on top after shooting three under, 68. Elwell shot the lowest score of the day out of all competitors.
Lastly, shooting two under par, 69, Larry Laramie (Lake St. Louis) won the 70+ Net flight.
