Join us in celebrating with our friends at State Tech College of Missouri on their new student center project!  The State Tech Foundation will be renovating the existing Osage Country Club, nine-hole layout in Linn. The new project will include a new 31,000 square foot clubhouse, golf simulators pro-shop, event center and much more. The goal is to be open 2022-23 school year.  You can read the full news release here.

State Tech has a very successful Commerical Turf and Grounds Management program which started in 1994. For the last 20 years Ryan Klatt has been the department chair and Instructor. Because of the schools reputation and the hard work of the students they are working in very elite positions now.  You can read their full story here.

Every fall, State Tech product Justin Thomas returns to the school’s career expo to mingle and recruit students for Top of the Rock in Ridgedale, Mo., where Thomas is the superintendent. A Wall of Fame at State Tech features flags from notable places its students and graduates have applied themselves, from pro teams’ venues to major golf events. Thomas’ Wall of Fame credits include the 2013 Senior PGA Championship and 2018 PGA Championship, both at Bellerive Country Club, and the Waste Management Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale in Scottsdale, Ariz. “The reputation and connections they (State Tech) have in this industry have allowed me to travel to places I never thought I would,” says Thomas, a seven-year GCSAA member.
