Port, who has won the tournament nine times, is a 7-time USGA Championship winner. She is tied for third all-time in the category, sitting behind the likes of Bobby Jones, Tiger Woods, JoAnne Gunderson and Jack Nicholas.

Former Amateur and Mid-Amateur champion Michelle Parrish (Columbia) is also in the hunt, shooting an even-70 and sitting T-6th on the Amateur leaderboard and third on the Mid-Amateur leaderboard.
