JEFFERSON CITY — The 2021 Missouri Junior Amateur Championship will be held Tuesday and Wednesday on the Posse course at Paradise Pointe Golf Complex in Smithville.
 
The Junior Amateur will return to Paradise Pointe for the first time since 2016. This is the seventh time the event has been held at the course since 2010.
 
The tournament will consist of two stroke play rounds, separated by age-based divisions. Leaderboards will be based on ages 12-18 and ages 8-11.
 
The boys will tee off first in round one with groups going off of the first and 10th tees beginning at 7:30 a.m. The girls will begin their round from the first and 10th tees at 11:50 a.m., with the final groups heading off at 2:10 p.m.
 
Included in the participants are the 2021 Junior Match Play champion Ian Davis (Makanda), Match Play runner-up Archer Schnieders (Jefferson City) and Match Play semifinalist Andrew Conrad (Smithville). On the girl’s side, Match Play runner-up Lyla Louderbaugh will also be competing.
 
2020 champions Calvin Dillon and Audrey Rischer will not be participating in this year’s competition.
