140 Players Advance to Missouri Amateur; 4 Spots Remain for Last Chance Qualifying

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (June 9, 2026) – After five qualifying events over the past two weeks, the first 140 players have earned spots in the field for the 119th Missouri Amateur Championship at Milburn Country Club.

Qualifiers were held across the Show-Me State, ranging from Southeast Missouri to the Kansas City area. Highlights from each qualifier, as well as links to full results, are listed below.

Twin Oaks Qualifier: Springfield, Mo. (June 1, 2026)

After a long day of competition that stretched into the evening due to a playoff for the final spots, 34 players earned their way into the field of the 119th Missouri Amateur Championship. Derek Reynolds and Graham Sherard, both of Springfield, shared the low round of the day after each carded a 4-under, 67.

Additional highlights included eagles from Jackson Lucas of Webb City, Owen Swearingen of Nevada, Ben Tummons of Battlefield and Owen Derryberry of Carthage.

Fred Arbanas Qualifier: Kansas City, Mo. (June 1, 2026)

Just a short drive from the host site of the 119th Missouri Amateur Championship, 24 players played their way into the field and earned a chance to compete for the title of Missouri Amateur champion.

Jack Spencer of Carl Junction led the field with a 2-under, 70, carding three birdies with just one bogey on the par-3 seventh hole. Qualifiers Ed Brown of Blue Springs and Matthew Rau of Leawood also posted highlights during their rounds, each recording two eagles over 18 holes.

Dalhousie Qualifier: Cape Girardeau, Mo. (June 3, 2026)

Eleven players earned spots in the Missouri Amateur field after 18 holes of play at Dalhousie Golf Club. Two players separated themselves from the field, led by Landon Barks of Poplar Bluff, who fired a 6-under, 66. Thomas Wuennenberg of St. Louis followed closely with a 5-under, 67.

Barks recorded seven birdies and just one bogey on his way to the low round of the day.

The Falls Qualifier: O’Fallon, Mo. (June 4, 2026)

After a competitive day in the St. Louis metro area, 28 players added their names to the field of the 119th Missouri Amateur Championship and will travel across the state to Milburn Country Club to compete against top golfers from around Missouri.

Harrison Zipfel of St. Louis separated himself from the field by four strokes with an impressive 7-under, 64. His clean scorecard featured five birdies and an eagle.

Country Club of Missouri Qualifier: Columbia, Mo. (June 9, 2026)

On the hottest day of the year so far, 17 players fought their way into the Missouri Amateur Championship field. William Boyd of Warrensburg posted the low round of the day with a 3-under, 69.

Boyd started strong on the front nine, firing a 5-under, 31. As conditions became tougher, he battled through the back nine with a 2-over, 38 to secure the top score of the day.

Coming Up

The Last Chance Qualifier will take place June 11 at Oak Meadow Country Club in Rolla, Mo. Players who did not qualify in their first attempt will have one final opportunity to compete for the remaining four spots in the field of the 119th Missouri Amateur Championship.
