October 11, 2026

FULTON, Mo. (October 11, 2026) – Ethan Bartels of Springfield captured the 2026 Boys Fall Classic Championship on Sunday at Tanglewood Golf Course, finishing at 5-under-par (139) to secure a two-stroke victory over a record field of 62 competitors.

The third annual Boys Fall Classic brought together junior golfers ages 14–18 from across Missouri for 36 holes of stroke play on October 10–11. Warm temperatures in the 80s and a moderate breeze accompanied players throughout the weekend, as the event welcomed its largest field to date.

Bartels entered Sunday’s final round tied for the lead with Robert Keller after both players opened the championship with rounds of 3-under-par (69). Lake Bennett sat just one stroke behind at 2-under (70), while Ethan Mottert, Grant Kapilla, Jack Sinnett and Ben Johnson were tied for fourth at 1-under (71), setting the stage for a competitive final round.

After opening Sunday’s round with a 2-over-par front nine, Bartels delivered an impressive finish, playing his final nine holes at 4-under par to card a 2-under (70). His strong closing stretch brought his two-day total to 5-under (139), securing the championship by two strokes.

Anthony Moore of Eureka made a strong push up the leaderboard on Sunday, firing a 3-under-par (69) to finish runner-up at 3-under (141). Moore entered the final round tied for eighth after an opening-round 72 before posting the lowest score among the top finishers on Sunday.

Hollis Jines of Bloomfield and Grant Kapilla of Creve Coeur shared third place at 2-under (142). Jines followed an opening-round 72 with a 2-under (70) on Sunday, while Kapilla recorded consecutive rounds of 1-under (71) to round out the top three positions.

The record field of 62 competitors in the event’s third year reflects the continued growth of the Boys Fall Classic and the strength of junior golf across Missouri.

Missouri Golf congratulates Bartels on his championship victory and thanks all 62 competitors for their participation throughout the weekend. Missouri Golf would also like to extend its appreciation to Tanglewood Golf Course and its staff for hosting the event and providing an excellent experience for players and spectators.
