88 Golfers Compete in Senior Series at Jefferson City Country Club

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (Aug. 11, 2025) – The Missouri Golf Association’s Senior Series brought 88 golfers to Jefferson City Country Club on Monday for a 12 p.m. shotgun start.

In the 50-54 Open division, Darin Baldwin (Warrensburg) earned the top spot with a steady 1-over 73. Brad Thielemier (Poplar Bluff) finished one stroke back at 2-over 74, followed by William Stuart (Columbia) and Christian Corpe (Lake Ozark), who tied for third at 4-over 76.

Darin Pryor (Springfield) claimed the 55-59 Open division title with a 12-over 84. Neil Atkinson (Eldon) placed second at 14-over 86, and Paul Patrikus (Springfield) rounded out the top three.

In the 60-64 Open division, David Pfeil (Eureka) and Bobby Godwin (Poplar Bluff) shared first with matching 2-over 74s. Roger Atkisson (Springfield) and Mike Clark (Owensville) tied for third at 4-over 76.

The 65-69 Open division saw the day’s only under-par score in the open division, as BJ Curry (Sunrise Beach) carded a 1-under 71 with three birdies to take the win. Tim Rinker (West Plains) finished second at 2-over 74, and Dennis Osborne (Ballwin) came in third at 6-over 78.

In the 70+ Open division, Ron Eilers (Columbia) posted a 3-over 75 to lead the field. Tony Brown (St. Louis) followed in second at 9-over 81.

On the Net side, Robert Besanceney (Lee’s Summit) won the 50-59 Net division with a 1-under 71. Tim Borman (Kingdom City) and Scott Kemna (Jefferson City) tied for second.

The 60-64 Net division ended with co-leaders Matt Hall (Florissant) and Mike Domenick (Festus), who each shot 3-under 69. Tom Chastain (Lee’s Summit) placed third at even-par 72. The division also celebrated a highlight moment when Joseph Blandina recorded a hole-in-one on hole No. 8.

In the 65-69 Net division, Harold Dishman (Strafford) claimed first at 1-over 73. George Barkho (Fulton) and Tony Farris (Fulton) tied for second at 2-over 74.

Garret Abuekaj (Hermann) led the 70-74 Net division with a 2-over 74, followed by Randy Blackwell (Washington) at 4-over 76 and Terry Souchek (Columbia) at 5-over 77.

In the 75+ Net division, Gene Kemna (Jefferson City) took top honors with a 5-over 77. Craig Larson (Manchester), Lee Larscheid (Kansas City) and King Edmonston (St. Louis) shared second at 6-over 78.
