COLUMBIA, MO. (July 10th, 2025) – The Missouri Junior Tour made its latest stop at Lake of the Woods Golf Course, where 90 junior golfers from across the state competed for top honors in their divisions. Featuring competitors of all ages, the event highlighted emerging talent across multiple divisions.
In the 16-18 boys’ division, Kingston Lovelady (Columbia) topped the podium with a 2-over 73. Lovelady secured the top spot with a birdie on hole 18 setting him 1 stroke ahead. Logan Hoffman (Jefferson City) claimed second, shooting a 3-over 74. Hoffman faced challenges early, battling through a rough front nine at 5-over 40, before turning it around on the back. Emory Lindahl (Hermann) finished third with a 4-over 75.
Avery Wells (Eldon) earned first place in the 16-18 girls’ division. Wells carded a 2-over 73 during her 18-hole round. Haven Evers (Eldon) followed closely behind at 3-over 74 to take second. Mia McGraw (Jefferson City) shot a 16-over 87 to take home third.
Hunter Hovis (Jefferson City) took top honors in the 14-15 boys’ division with a 3-over 74. Bubba McGraw (Jefferson City) claimed second with a 5-over 76. Lyle Marty (Centralia) and Jack Sinnett (Jefferson City) tied for third at 8-over 79. Marty secured the third place medal by winning the chip-off.
The 14-15 girls’ division saw Drew Maze (Columbia) on top of the leaderboard. Maze shot a 12-over 83 to claim the victory. Atley Howard (California) posted a final score of 16-over 87 to take second place, and McKenzie Martin (Jefferson City) took third with a 22-over 93.
Blaine Munzlinger (Columbia) claimed the 12-13 boys’ division title with a 4-over 75. Munzlinger struggled on the front nine with five bogies to put him 5-over 40, before turning it around on the back with three birdies to end the back nine 1-under 35. A three way tie for third between Cooper Frey (Eldon), Tyson Strupp (Columbia) and Palmer Owens (Springfield) led to a chip-off to determine second and third place. All three players posted a 9-over 80. After the chip-off Tyson Strupp took the second place medal and Palmer Owens won the third place medal.
The following divisions played nine holes of stroke play:
Ashley Quinn (Columbia) won the 14-15 girls’ division shooting a 16-over 51.
The 12-13 boys’ division saw a tie for first and third place. Hudson Marcolla (Chillicothe) and Drake Kovar (Columbia) tied for first, shooting 6-over 42. Adrian Showers (Brumley) and Grant Darr (Kirksville) tied for third at 8-over 44. After the chip-offs, Hudson Marcolla claimed first, Drake Kovar took second and Grant Darr came in third.
Luke Williamson (Palmyra) came out on top in the 10-11 boys’ division with a 7-over 43. Henry Russell (Fulton) shot an 11-over 47 to take second and Logan Knaebel (Columbia) placed third with a 15-over 51.
In the 8-9 boys’ division, Henry Welpman (Stover) fired an impressive even-par 36. Welpman’s round was highlighted by two birdies and an eagle. Gatlin Shockley (St. James) followed closely behind at 1-over 37. Shockley had a notable round carding five birdies. Gannon Grigery (Ashland) took third with a 6-over 42.
Emerson Munzlinger (Columbia) finished atop the leaderboard in the 8-9 girls’ division with a 5-over 41. Allison Knaebel (Columbia) placed second shooting 19-over 55, and Harlee Martin (Jefferson City) claimed third with a 22-over 58.

ABOUT MGA: The Missouri Golf Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the best interests and true spirit of golf throughout the state of Missouri.
Founded in 1905 in St. Louis, the MGA was established to conduct the Missouri Amateur Championship, originally hosted by four founding clubs—St. Louis Country Club, Algonquin Golf Club, Glen Echo Golf Club, and Normandie Golf Club.
