JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (May 4, 2025) – Warmer skies and sunnier conditions greeted players for the final round of the 2025 Jefferson City Four Ball at Jefferson City Country Club today.
In the Championship Division, it was a back-and-forth battle between the overnight leaders Hunter Parrish (Columbia) and Christian Rischer (Columbia) and the Springfield duo of Derek Reynolds and Josh Roller. The two teams were tied after hole 12, but a bogey from Parrish and Rischer on 13 gave Reynolds and Roller the opening they needed.
With six birdies on the day, Reynolds and Roller fired a final-round 5-under, 67 to finish at 13-under, 131, claiming the top spot. Parrish and Rischer carded a 1-under, 71 to finish second at 10-under, 134, while Gregory Diederich IV (Kansas City) and Jack Fiscus (Overland Park) climbed into third with a strong 5-under, 67, closing at 9-under, 135.
The Senior Division saw a major shift in the standings. Bobby Godwin (Poplar Bluff) and Tom Barry (St. Louis) surged into the lead with a round of 3-under, 69, thanks to five birdies, to post a two-day total of 8-under, 136. First-round leaders Travis Mitchell (Springfield) and Jeff Woods (Rogersville) shot even par to finish second at 6-under, 138. Two teams that weren’t in the top three after Round One made big moves on Day Two: Tony Nolfo (Festus) and Greg Mazdra (Kirkwood), along with Kyle Viehl (Maryville) and Jeff Eiserman (Springfield), each carded 3-under, 69 to tie for third at 5-under, 139.
In the Super Senior Division, defending champions RJ Opliger (Basehor) and John Bailey (Nashville) mounted a comeback with a clutch 4-under, 68, powered by five birdies, to finish at 6-under, 138 and take the win. Tony Brown (St. Louis) and George Bowler (Warrensburg) followed closely behind with a final-round 70, finishing at 5-under, 139. First-round co-leaders Jim Kinney (Overland Park) and David Hamilton (Olathe) shot 1-under, 71 to finish third at 4-under, 140.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (May 3, 2025) – The opening round of the 2025 Jefferson City Four Ball set the stage for a competitive finish, with low scores and returning contenders across all divisions.
In the Championship Division, Hunter Parrish (Columbia) and Christian Rischer (Columbia) fired a 9-under, 63, racking up nine birdies to secure the top spot heading into the final day. Hot on their heels are Derek Reynolds (Springfield) and Josh Roller (Springfield), who carded an 8-under, 64, highlighted by eight birdies and an eagle. Rounding out the top three are Matt Morris (St. Louis) and Colin Stolze (Brentwood), whose 6-under, 66 was fueled by eight birdies, six of which came on the back nine.
The Senior Division is led by Travis Mitchell (Springfield) and Jeff Woods (Rogersville), who posted a 6-under, 66 behind six birdies. Just one shot behind are Bobby Godwin (Poplar Bluff) and Tom Barry (St. Louis), who also tallied six birdies for a 5-under, 67. Two teams are tied for third at 4-under 68: Brad Thielemier and James Vernon, both of Poplar Bluff, and Ed Brown (Blue Springs) with Chuck Admire (Kansas City).
In the Super Senior Division, it’s a tie at the top. Jim Kinney (Overland Park) and David Hamilton (Olathe) share the lead at 3-under, 69 with Tony Brown (St. Louis) and George Bowler (Warrensburg). Kinney and Hamilton notched three birdies, while Brown and Bowler recorded four. Defending champions RJ Oplinger (Basehor) and John Bailey (Nashville) are tied for third at 2-under 70, alongside Rick Barks (St. Peters) and Barry Yehling (St. Louis).
Several familiar faces from last year’s leaderboard returned to the field. Defending overall champions Tyler Stalker (Springfield) and Patrick Britt (St. Louis) are back in the mix. Ryne Fisher (Overland Park) and Chuck Moore (Leawood), who placed third in 2024, also returned to compete.
Action resumes tomorrow as players compete for titles across all three divisions at the Jefferson City Country Club.
