COLUMBIA, Mo. (June 15, 2026) – Competitors were greeted by favorable conditions during the opening round of the 96th Missouri Women’s Amateur Championship, 16th Missouri Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship, and 34th Missouri Women’s Senior Amateur Championship at Columbia Country Club. Mild temperatures, clear skies and a light breeze provided an ideal setting as players began their pursuit of championship titles across seven divisions.
Women’s Amateur Championship
Hillary Currier of Olathe holds the lead in the Women’s Amateur Championship after posting an even-par 71 in the opening round. Currier recorded two birdies on her way to the day’s low score and enters the second round with a one-shot advantage.
Three players sit just one stroke behind Currier at 1-over-par 72, including Chloe Bolte of Springfield, Sarah Hyten of Edwardsville and Columbia native Maya McVey.
Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship
Defending champion Mindy Coyle of Columbia opened her championship with a 6-over-par 77 to take a four-shot lead in the Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship.
Kallie Harrison of Saint Louis sits in second place at 81, while former champion Carmen Titus of Greenwood rounds out the top three at 84.
Women’s Senior Amateur Championship
Martha Linscott of Mission Hills leads the Women’s Senior Amateur Championship after carding a 7-over-par 78 during the opening round.
Tina Jones of Wildwood is currently second at 81, while defending champion Christie Blasi of Ozark sits in third place at 82. Linscott will take a three-shot advantage into Tuesday’s second round.
Women’s Senior Amateur Open
Playing on her home course, Christine Tran of Columbia leads the Women’s Senior Amateur Open after posting an opening-round score of 88.
Sherry Kempton of Sedalia sits three shots behind in second place after carding a 91.
Women’s Senior Amateur – Net
Linscott also finds herself atop the Women’s Senior Amateur Championship – Net division after posting a net score of 73.
Robyn Rossi of Hollister and Tina Jones are tied for second place at 74, just one stroke behind the leader entering the second round.
The championship continues Tuesday at Columbia Country Club with tee times beginning at 8:00 a.m. Competition will conclude Wednesday when champions are crowned in all divisions.
Women’s Senior Amateur Open – Net
Tran also leads the Women’s Senior Amateur Open – Net division after recording a net score of 75. Kempton remains in second place at 82.
Women’s Super Senior Amateur Open
Becky Haulotte of Sedalia opened the championship with an 86 to establish a six-shot lead in the Women’s Super Senior Amateur Open division.
Janis Clemens of Lee’s Summit and Alicia Anderson of Chesterfield are tied for second place after both posted rounds of 92.
Women’s Super Senior Amateur Open – Net
Anderson leads the Women’s Super Senior Amateur Open – Net division after recording a net score of 68, the lowest net score of the day across all divisions.
Haulotte is second at 76, while Pamela Lenhard of Saint Peters sits in third place at 84.
Coming Up
With two rounds remaining, players will return to Columbia Country Club on Tuesday for the second round of competition. Tee times are scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. as competitors continue their pursuit of Missouri Golf championship titles and position themselves for the final round on Wednesday.
