RIDGEDALE, Mo. (June 5, 2025) – Missouri’s standing as a premier golf destination continues to rise with the announcement of Cliffhangers, an 18-hole par-3 course unlike anything else in the game. Developed by Johnny Morris and his son JP, the newest addition to Big Cedar Lodge’s award-winning portfolio is set to open on July 4, 2025.

Perched above the Ozark Mountains and carved into natural limestone cliffs, Cliffhangers offers dramatic elevation changes, beautiful views and an adventurous layout. The course joins the ranks of other nationally recognized designs at Big Cedar Golf, including Payne’s Valley, Top of the Rock and Mountain Top.

The Missouri Golf Association is proud to celebrate Big Cedar’s continued investment in Missouri’s golf landscape, helping attract global attention and setting a new standard for golf experiences in the Midwest.

Reservations for Cliffhangers are now available at www.bigcedar.com/golf.

ABOUT MGA: The Missouri Golf Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the best interests and true spirit of golf throughout the state of Missouri.

Founded in 1905 in St. Louis, the MGA was established to conduct the Missouri Amateur Championship, originally hosted by four founding clubs—St. Louis Country Club, Algonquin Golf Club, Glen Echo Golf Club, and Normandie Golf Club. In 1909, the invite-only championship expanded to Kansas City’s Evanston Club, and by 1911, the MGA became formally organized under Bonner Miller, its first Secretary and Executive Director. Since then, the MGA has grown to provide a variety of competitive tournaments, junior programs, and resources that support golfers of all ages and skill levels, continuing its mission to grow and enhance the game across Missouri.
