SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (June 27, 2024) – The second and final round of the inaugural Arris’ Pizza Summer Showcase at Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield concluded today. Congratulations to Brady Powers (Springfield, Class of 2026) and Anna Bell (Poplar Bluff, Class of 2029) for shooting the low scores of the tournament and being crowned the 2024 Arris’ Pizza Summer Showcase Champions!

In the boys’ division, Powers emerged as the champion. He posted a 2-over-par, 74 in the first round, positioning himself in third place. He followed this with a 3-over, 75 in the second round, finishing with a 5-over, 149, tying Teagen Hull (Eldon, Class of 2024) for the top spot. Hull shot an even-par, 72 on the first day and a 5-over, 77 on the second day. The two battled through four playoff holes, with Powers ultimately securing the championship and Hull finishing as the runner-up.

Cooper Forth (Webb City, Class of 2024) claimed third place with a total score of 9-over-par, 153. Despite a challenging first round, where he shot a 10-over, 82, Forth made a remarkable comeback on the second day, scoring five birdies and posting a 1-under, 71.

In the girls’ division, Bell dominated the field, maintaining her lead from the first round and improving her score by five strokes with a 1-over, 73 in the second round. Her total score of 7-over, 151 gave her a commanding nine-stroke lead, earning her the gold medal.

Anais Oge (St. Louis, Class of 2025) secured second place with a 9-over, 81 in the second round, bringing her total to 16-over, 160. With two birdies today, Oge solidified her position. Audrey Duvall (Springfield, Class of 2025) maintained her third-place standing, shooting a 10-over, 82 in the second round, for a total of 19-over, 163, and taking home the bronze medal.

RIVERCUT, Mo. (June 26, 2024) – The inaugural Arris’ Pizza Summer Showcase at Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield has concluded its first round, featuring the top 71 junior golfers from across the state. The event includes both male and female competitors, ages 14 to 18.

In the Boys’ division, Teagen Hull (Eldon, Class of 2024) and Ty Brandt (Jefferson City, Class of 2028) led the field with impressive even-par rounds of 72. Hull recorded three birdies, while Brandt notched four. Brady Powers (Springfield, Class of 2026) is close behind, securing third place with a 2-over-par 74.

In the Girls’ division, Anna Bell (Poplar Bluff, Class of 2029) leads with a score of 6-over-par 78. Anais Oge (St. Louis, Class of 2025) is in second place with a 7-over-par 79. Audrey Duvall (Springfield, Class of 2025) and Laylah Bates (Branson, Class of 2028) are tied for third place, each posting a 9-over-par 81.

The competition continues tomorrow with the second round starting at 8 a.m. Tee times will begin promptly, and after the completion of the 18-hole rounds, the winners will be announced, followed by an awards presentation.

The Missouri Golf Association was started in St. Louis in 1905 to run the Amateur Championship.
