The Missouri Golf Association is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote the best interests and true spirit of the game of golf throughout the State of Missouri. The MGA conducts several statewide championships each year.  The MGA distributes an annual schedule of tournament events and entry forms for each event, provides advice and information for golf, handicap and rules chairpersons, and provides educational seminars.

JCCC Four Ball

The Missouri Golf Association is happy to announce a new event this 2019 golf season.  A new 4 ball Championship has been created May 4th and 5th at Jefferson City Country Club!   This event will be open to all male golfers that are members of the Missouri Golf Association.   This event is replacing the Porto Cima 4 Ball on the Missouri Golf Association Schedule of events. 

The JCCC 4 Ball will have three divisions for players to compete in.  We will have the Championship Flight, a Senior Flight, a Super Senior Flight.  This event will be MGA point event for the Hieronymus Cup and will take the place of the Porto Cima 4 Ball as a point event. 

The entry fee is $400 a team:  Your entry fee will include a practice round (cart not included) range balls for all three days, two championship rounds with cart. Plus, a player’s gift.  

Entries for the JCCC 4 Ball will be open on January 22nd at 9 a.m.

Missouri Par 3 Team Championship

The Missouri Golf Association is proud to announce a new event for 2019 to be held at Top of the Rock, and the Gary Player Mountain Course at Big Cedar Golf Resort in Ridgedale, Missouri, October 5th – 6th, 2019.

This event will be played on two Par 3 golf courses over a period of two days, in a 2-person best ball event using the modified Stableford scoring system.  Each team will play 18 holes at Top of the Rock the first day, and 13-holes (walking only) at the Mountain course on the second day.  The field will be limited to the first 44 teams in four divisions. Men, Men’s Senior, Women and Women’s Senior.  

“We could not be more excited about the opportunity to offer this Championship to our members,” Missouri Golf Association Executive Director Scott Hovis said. “This event allows all levels of golfers to enjoy two fantastic short courses that Johnny Morris has had designed by two golf legends, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player.”  More details can be found on the website.

Entries for this event will open on Monday March 4th at 9 a.m.  You will register online through the MGA website. More information to come – watch your emails in January!!!
