MEMBERSHIP / ENTRY FEE

Yearly membership fee is $35
Entry Fee $185

ENTRY FEE INCLUDES

Practice Round, Championship Rounds and Range Balls
Players are responsible for Cart Fees in pro shop.

Sunday – July 17
Practice Round starting at 12 Noon. Contact Twin Oaks for your tee time.
Monday – July 18
First Round, 18 holes stroke play
7:30 First tee time
Tuesday – July 19
Second Round, 18 holes stroke play
7:30 First tee time
Wednesday – July 20
Final Round, 18 holes stroke play
7:30 First tee time
Presentation of Awards will follow

 

CADDIES/CARTS

Caddies are allowed during all portions of the Championship.
Each player may walk or ride during any portion of the Championship.

Please familiarize yourself with MWGA Conditions of  Play.

ELIGIBILITY

  1. Must be an individual member in good standing in the Association.
  2. Must own, rent or lease property in the State of Missouri or Johnson County, Kansas prior to the first day of the tournament.
  3. Student entrants:
  1. Must attend an educational institution in the State of Missouri or Johnson County, Kansas.
  2. If attending an educational institution outside the State of Missouri or Johnson County, Kansas, their parent(s) or guardian(s) must own, rent or lease property in the State of Missouri or Johnson County, Kansas as their primary residence prior to the first day of the tournament.
  1. Must have a current USGA Handicap Index (Hdcp/I) from an authorized USGA club.
  2. Entries are subject to rejection at any time by the MWGA.  The reason for rejection may include unbecoming conduct or improper dress.
  3. All entrants must adhere to The Rules of Amateur Status as specified by the USGA.

ENTRIES/WITHDRAWALS

  1. Entry Deadline: July10
  2. Entries must be correctly completed, including mandatory Hcp/I information.
  3. The field shall be determined by first sixty (60) entrants.  Entries exceeding the limit shall be placed on a waiting list in the order of Hcp/I.
  4. All entries are subject to approval by the Board of Directors of the Missouri Women’s Golf Association.
  5. Entry fees shall be refunded less a $20.00 administrative fee, if withdrawal occurs prior to the entry deadline stated above, or if the field is full on the first day of play.  If the field is not full, there shall be no refund for a withdrawal made after the Entry Deadline.
  6. All entrants are expected to complete tournament play.  If one withdraws for a reason deemed unacceptable by the Tournament Committee, she shall be ineligible to play in Association competitions.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

  1. This is a fifty-four (54) hole stroke play competition preceded by an optional eighteen (18) hole practice round.
  2. The MWGA Amateur Champion shall be the player with the lowest fifty-four (54) hole total score.  Ties for the Championship shall be decided by a sudden death playoff beginning on a hole determined by the Tournament Committee.
  3. Play is governed by The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA, and where applicable, by the Local Rules consistent with USGA rules.
By entering this tournament, the player understands that this entry is subject to approval or rejection by the Tournament Committee, including during the Junior Championship. The reason for rejection may include unbecoming conduct.  The player expressly assumes all risk of injury and agrees to hold the MWGA harmless, and indemnify it from any liability in connection therewith. The Player must read the Tournament Regulations, Information and Schedule of Events, and understand that the player will be participating in the Junior Championship unless notification has been received that the player’s entry has not been accepted. Accepted entries will be notified by email and also verified on the website.
