RESULTS

The Missouri Golf Association hosted the final round of the 2018 Men’s Four Ball Championship today at the Glen Echo Country Club in St. Louis, Missouri. The players faced yet another day of beautiful weather with some minor storms in the afternoon, but the overall scores were just as impressive as day one.

Golfers Frankie Thomas out of Chesterfield, Mo., and Crimson Callahan out of Chesterfield, Mo. took the first-place title today in the Championship Flight. The partners came out on top with an impressive overall score of 120 (61-59). Thomas and Callahan kicked off the day with being 9 under through the first nine holes, finishing with only 3 birdies on the back and still coming out on top. A very impressive two-day round for each of them!

Coming in second place with a two-day score of (62-65-127) was Brevin Giebler out of Cape Girardeau, Mo. and Travis Simmons also out of Cape Girardeau, Mo. Both kept up with the leaders and fought a very good fight.

 In the Net Flight, Danny Vaughan out of Jefferson City, Mo., and Sam Verslues (pictured left) also out of Jefferson City, Mo. took the first-place title with their overall score of 121 (57-64). Despite the rain delay, both had an impressive round and took the first-place title.

 There was a second-place tie between, Kevin Long out of Olathe, KS, and David Diemer out of St. Louis, Mo. with an overall score of 63-61-124), and then Gary Collins out of Jefferson City, Mo., and Mike Haymart out of Jefferson City, Mo. with an overall score of (63-61-124). Both very great rounds!

The top nine champion teams and the top five net teams earned pro shop payout at this week’s event. The Missouri Golf Association would like to thank all the participants and Glen Echo Country Club for such an incredible event. We appreciate your dedication to the game!
