The Missouri Junior Tour held it’s third event of the summer last Friday at Rolling Hills Country Club in Versailles, Missouri. Players had very mild temperatures in the morning and an overall great day to play.

In the male 8-9 division, Ty Brandt (Jefferson City) won his second tournament of the summer with a nine-hole score of 36. Michael Atnip (Jefferson City) and Eli Cummings (Eldon) both followed closely behind with 37. Michael won the tie-breaker chip-off to take home the second place trophy. Michael Maschino (Linn Creek) came in fourth with a 39.

William Boyd (California) finished in first place in the male 10-11 division with a 39. Second place went to Will Kimes (Columbia) who shot a 40 for the day. Sam Closser (Jefferson City) came in third after shooting a 45. There was a fourth place tie between Eli Herbert (Grain Valley) and Talon Hull (Eldon) after the two shot 46. Talon won the chip-off to take home the fourth place medal.

In the male 12-13 division, Gunnar Schuster (Osage Beach) came in first with a one-over score of 35. Andrew Fallis (Columbia) came in second with a 38. Third place went to Jonathan Jordan (Rolla) with 39. Davis Linhardt (Jefferson City) and Archer Schnieders (Jefferson City) tied for fourth place with 40s. Archer won the chip-off to claim the fourth place medal.

Sophia Sindlinger (Sunrise Beach) claimed her third straight first place victory in the female 13 and under division with a score of 48. Second place went to Hannah Maschoff (Lake Ozark) after shooting a 52 for the day. Sophie Hinds (Jefferson City) came in third with a 58 and Emma Baumstark (Columbia) finished fourth with a 64.

Kassidy Hull (Eldon) finished in first with an eighteen-hole score of 77 in the female 14-15 division. Abby Boyer (Kirksville) shot an 83 to come in second. Third place went to Greta Hinds (Jefferson City) with an 87. Sidney Fessler (Columbia) came in fourth with a 94.

In the male 14-15 division, Drew Higgins (Jefferson City) claimed his second first-place victory of the season with a 74. Trace Brown (Macon) came in second with a score of 77. Aidan Wells (Eldon) finished in third with his score of 80. Fourth place went to Gunner Vlasis (Stoutland) with an 82.

The male 16-18 division was close at this tournament. Trey Burton (Huntsville) came in first after carding a 73 for the day. Tristan Bolin (Tipton) followed closely with a 74 and Evan Weaver (Marshall) finished with a 75. Joseph Fallis (Columbia) finished in fourth with a 79.

Amber Wilson shot the only under-par round for the day with a 68 in the female 16-18 division. This was Amber’s third straight victory for the summer. Sam Cornelius (Hamilton) came in second with a 76. Third place went to Sami Swinfard (Jefferson City) with an 82.  Werthen Gass came in fourth with her 83.

The Missouri Junior Tour looks forward to hosting its next event at Oak Hills GC in Jefferson City on June 21. We hope to see you there!

The Missouri Golf Association is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote the best interests and true spirit of the game of golf throughout the State of Missouri.
