The Missouri Golf Association is honored to announce this year’s MGA Senior Women’s Player of the Year. This Player of the Year award is presented to an outstanding female golfer who has excelled on the course throughout the season. This year’s Senior Amateur player of the Year is Kathy Glennon of Wildwood and a member of The Country Club of St. Albans. For the last 3 years, Glennon has been named the MGA top senior female amateur in the state of Missouri.
Glennon is a long-time supporter of women’s golf and has competed and been very successful in many MGA and USGA events over the years. This year Glennon finished runner-up after a one- hole playoff against Kayla Eckelkamp in the MGA Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship at Glen Echo CC, St. Louis. She was the MGA Senior Amateur Champion at Franklin County Country Club, Washington. Glennon had two great rounds 74/69 143, 18 shots better than runner-up Stephany Powell of Springfield. She was medalist at the qualifier to compete in the U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur in Vero Beach, FL in October.
