2018 Schedule of Events

Missouri Golf Association

Tuesday, December 19, 2017

On behalf of the Missouri Golf Association Board of Directors, it is an honor to announce the 2018 MGA Schedule of Events. As you will see from the list, we will be conducting the tournaments at some familiar and also new locations this upcoming year.

The 111th Men’s State Amateur Championship will be hosted at the Dalhousie Golf Club in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, from June 19 to 24, 2018. While they have hosted many other MGA Championships, this will only be the second time Dalhousie has hosted the State Amateur Championship since 2012 when Nick Wilson won.

The 88th Women’s State Amateur Championship will be held at the St. Joseph Country Club for the seventh time. The last time the State Amateur was there was in 2001 when Ellen Port took home the title. The other Amateur champions at the St. Joseph Country Club were Sarah Guth (1938), Jean Hutto (1947), Marilyn Herpel (1953), Barbara Berkmeyer (1970), Karen MacGee (1979) and Lindsey Murfin (1987).
