The MGA Tournament Committee Chair, Wayne Fredrick, reported to the MGA Board of Directors on Saturday, January 20, the changes to the Men’s Player of the Year Point Table for the 2018 season.
Mr. Fredrick reported they felt it necessary to put more weight on MGA events over the “outside MGA point events” ie., Hoover, Stewart, Memorial, Poe and PC 4Ball. He also reported the committee had added a point table for the US Four Ball Tournament and increased the points awarded for the US Mid Amateur and US Senior Amateur.
The Hoover, Stewart, Memorial, Poe will now receive points for the top 10 players (not the top 20 players) and less number of awarded points.
The PC 4 Ball will remain at 5 spots but with less points awarded to each spot.
