Sunday, June 22nd                   1:00 PM First Tee Opens for Practice Round.  Please call golf shop to make tee time.

Monday, June 23

No Practice rounds Available this day!

Practice Facilities will open to the players after 2 pm


Tuesday, June 24

7:30 a.m. – 9:20 a.m.                 Stoke Play Qualifying Round 1 for 144 players

12:15 p.m. – 2:05 p.m.               Starting times will be from the first and tenth tees

(10 minute intervals)


Wednesday, June 25 

7:30 a.m. – 9:20 a.m.                 Stroke Play Qualifying Round 2 for 144 players

12:15 p.m. – 2:05 p.m.               Starting times will be from the first and tenth tees

(10 minute intervals)


A play-off, if necessary, will take place immediately following play on Wednesday (daylight permitting) to determine the low 64 for match play.  Otherwise, it will take place Thursday  morning at 7:30 a.m.


Thursday, June 26

8:00 a.m. – 12:39 p.m.               First Round matches (64 players, 32 matches; 9-minute intervals, groups of 2) All matches are scheduled for 18 holes.  All matches will start at the first tee.


Friday, June 27

8:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.               Second Round matches (32 players, 16 matches; 9-minute intervals, groups of 2)

1:30 p.m. – 2:40 p.m.                 Third Round matches (16 players, 8 matches; 10 minute intervals, groups of 2)


Saturday, June 28

8:30 a.m. – 8:57 a.m.                 Quarterfinal matches (8 players, 4 matches, 9-minute intervals, groups of 2)

1:30p.m. – 1:45 p.m.                  Semifinal matches (4 players, 2 matches, 15–minute intervals, groups of 2)


Sunday, June 29

2014 Missouri Amateur – Norwood Hills Country Club – June 24-29, 2014                         NOTICE TO PLAYERS

(This Notice To Players supplements and modifies any Championship information on the Missouri Golf Association’s website and the Missouri Golf Association Local Rules and Conditions of Competition as set forth on the back of the Official Score Card and on the Missouri Golf Association’s website .)

Play-off Procedure:  STROKE PLAY Qualifying– There will be 36 holes of stroke play to determine 64 players for match play. If there is a tie for the 64th place, the 64th place shall be decided by a hole-by-hole play-off immediately following the conclusion of the 36 holes of stroke play.  All announcements will be made at the Scoreboard.

Teeing Ground:  Play will be from the Teeing Ground with the GOLD Tee markers.

Out of Bounds:  Defined by inside points, at ground level, of white stakes and/or fence posts defining the perimeter of the Club property.  If the stake or post is set in a concrete base and the concrete is above ground level, ground level is where the post meets the concrete.  The concrete base which is above ground and in bounds is NOT an Obstruction. Rule 27-1 and Definition of Obstruction.

Staked Trees:  Relief, without penalty, pursuant to Rule 24-2b, provided interference exists only with the obstruction (stakes and/or wires).  NO RELIEF if interference exists only with the tree itself.

Obstructions:  Include landscaped garden areas completely encircled by an obstruction and worn areas adjacent to approaches and exits from cart paths.  Rule 24.

Power Lines:  If a ball strikes the power line during play of the 13th hole, the stroke is canceled and the player must play a ball as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was played in accordance with Rule 20-5.  The post and supporting wires are obstructions. Rule 24-2.

Dropping Zone for Water Hazard on Hole #4:  If a ball last crosses the water hazard (marked yellow) and lies in or touches the water hazard situated on the 4th Hole, the Competitor MAY, proceed under Rule 26-1; or under the penalty of one (1) stroke, drop a ball in the Dropping Zone (DZ) (forward Teeing Ground left of cart path).

14th Hole:  The water hazard situated on the 17th Hole shall be treated as a lateral water hazard during the play of the 14th Hole.

Footwear:  Shoes with traditionally-designed spikes comprised with partially or entirely of metal, are PROHIBITEDPenalty for breach of the Condition:  Disqualification.

 Distance Measuring Device(s):  For this Competition, the Committee has adopted the Local Rule allowing Distance Measuring Devices that measure Distance Only pursuant to the Note under Rule 14-3.  Appendix l Part B9.  Penalty for breach of the Condition:  Disqualification.

Electronic Devices:  The use of an Electronic Device(s) during the Qualifying Round, while not prohibited, May lead to Disqualification.  Decisions 14-3/16 through 14-3/18.

Discontinuance of Play:  Note under Rule 6-8b and the Optional Condition set forth in Appendix l of the USGA Rules of Golf shall be in effect.  All practice areas shall be closed during suspension for a dangerous situation until the Committee has declared them open.  When play is suspended by the Committee for a dangerous situation, if players are between the play of two holes, they must not resume play until the Committee has ordered a resumption of play.  If they are in the process of playing a hole, they must discontinue play immediately and not resume play until the Committee has ordered a resumption of play.  If a Player fails to discontinue play immediately, he is disqualified, unless circumstances warrant waiving the penalty as provided in Rule 33-7.  Appendix l Part C4.

Note:  A suspension for a dangerous situation shall be signaled by one (1) prolonged siren or airhorn note.  All other types of suspension shall be signaled by three (3) consecutive siren or airhorn notes.  Resumption of play shall be signaled by two (2) short siren or airhorn notes, repeated.

Pace of Play:  The Missouri Golf Association Pace of Play Policy for this Championship is as follows:

Stroke Play (4:30); Match Play (4:00).  See Pace of Play policy on MGA website.

Stroke Play – Practice on or Near Hole Last Played Prohibited:  See Rule 7-2 Note 2 and Appendix l Part C5b.
